“What-To-Bring-For-National Service/PLKN” list !!!

Well~ I promised my friends, those who going NS for the 2nd batch, to write a “What-To-Bring-To-NS” list for them.
Especially, for JoAnn, YeeLing, SiewPing, KarChun & those who going PLKN !!!!!!
See!!! Me this friend not bad bah?! xP

☞ Luggage.
A super-duper-damn BIG BIG BIG luggage! I dunno how many inch is that, but just choose the biggest one that u have. Trust me! u guys will know how important to own a big big luggage soon. =)

☞ A backpack.
U may also bring a backpack. Those kind of school bags is also enough la...

☞ Hair Shampoo.
Bring whatever brand u want la! Pantene, Rejoice, Dove, Head & Shoulder, Sunsilk, Herbal Essenses....... I think 750ml is enough for 3 months hia~ But, for guys, is not a masalah if u ignore to wash your botak head. xP

☞ Shower Cream.
I suggest u guys to bring those big bottles one. Better to buy those that can refill. For my own experience, 1500ml is also not enough for me la! Why? Because i bathed at least 4 or 5 times per day. I tak suka my body sticky sticky mar~ Ahhh haaa!!! And rmb to bring refill pack of shower cream. Protex? Dettol? Radox? Lifebuoy?

☞ Facial Cleanser.
Bring 2 bottles if u scare not enough. I washed my face 3 or 4 times per day. So, just depends on u guys la! Oxy, Clean & Clear, Nu Teen...... Whatever brand that u normally use la~

☞ Toothbrush & Toothpaste.

☞ Hair Conditioner. *For GIRLS only jek! =)
u don't have anytime for ur hair treatment. But u can just use hair conditioner if u can bath fast! I prefer the brand of DOVE!!!

☞ Hair Combs. 

Bring 2 combs. 1 that u normally use, another small one that u can portable carry it out. Girls, u are seriously need it out! For guys, u can SKIP this.

☞ Hair Band. 

Remember bring extra hair band! Cause it's easy to lost.

And also bring those kind of hair band that u can "BUN" ur hair. U need to BUN ur hair when u wearing full loreng to kawad.

 

☞ Towel. 

There will supply u a blue PLKN towel. Seriously, i think that towel is hard to absorb water. So, just bring ur own towel better! Remember to bring at least 2 towels. Bring those kind of thick towel.

☞ Handkerchief/Small Towel. 

Bring it if u think u need it to wipe ur tears? Or sweat? Or u can also use it to block the sun. =) How? ask me if u see me! i'll teach u the "direction".

☞ Nails Clipper without knife. 

This is a MUST!!! Cut off ur nails before those jurulatih catch tiok u. Cut it every week! Oh YAH!!! some nails clipper got a small knife inside of it. DON'T bring those kind! Or else they will rampas it for the 1st day u move into the camp when they check ur luggage.

☞ Black Socks. 

They will supply u 2 pairs of white socks(for PT shoes), 2 pairs of black socks(for Kelas shoes) & 2 pairs of grey socks(for spike boot). But i suggest u to bring 2 more extra black socks because u'll need it well when ur socks belum kering yet. Black socks can ganti white socks when u wear it for PT shoes. They won't check it if u didn't wear their socks. Maybe too smelly? But u can't skip for wearing grey socks for spike boot. 

☞ Mopiko. 

This is really a MUST MUST MUST thingy!!! Because there would be tones of mosquitoes chasing u to bite. Be careful of it. Bring MOPIKO along whenever & wherever u go!

☞ Mosquito Repellent & Insects Repellent. 

You need it well too! To prevent any mosquitoes bite, must bring it! I suggest u guy go any pharmacy and search for a product called "NOBITE lotion". This repellent that can be last long for 6-8 hours. And i think it's useful for me. No mosquito bites me after i applied it and it is not STICKY like some product. But i just suggest la... Depends on u guys! Do remember too! Buy those products that can apply on face too! Or else, kenalah ur face. Cantik betul~

Insects repellent is not important if u don't bring so. Maybe u just need it for Wirajaya(activities in FOREST). But i didn't bring it when survive in forest. The most important is still MOSQUITO REPELLENT. Buy 2 bottles because 1 bottle seriously is not enough for 3 months.

☞ Sunblock. 

Mesti bawa!!! Cause u'll be kawad-ing under a hot sun during 2-4 p.m. in the afternoon. WoW!!!! is syok if u didn't apply sunblock on ur skin. 2 obviously different skin colours. U'll check it out soon! ;D 

Buy the LARGE one. 1 bottle is enough.

SPF 130!!!!

 Apply this on hands & neck.

Buy SPF 50!!! 

contains UV moisture milk.

is better to apply this on face!

☞ Contact lens. *This is only for those who wearing spectacles only!*

Contact Lens case, Lens solution, eye drops, & extra contact lens!

Better bring it because is not that convenient to wear spec for some water activities & kawad. Bring extra contact lens! because my lens spoil for the last day. Luckily is the last day. Or else! Cham la~

☞ Slipper.

Buy those kind of slipper like CROCS. But don't really go buy CROCS cause is too expensive. Go pasar malam and search for those kind of "crocs" slipper that only costs 10 bucks. Use dy den throw it. No need to bring it back. Wear this kind of slippers can prevent ur feet from mosquito bites when u enter the toilet just to brush ur teeth. U'll kena at least 10 bites within that short 5 minutes. Duhhh~ =,=

☞ T-shirt.

Bring 2 or 3 T-shirt is enough. U only need to wear it during sleep or in dorm SAHAJA. Out of dorm, just can only wear the shirts they supplied for u. Don't bring too much! Or else u would face a problem when u packaging u luggage when u back. No matter how big ur luggage is, sure not enough place!

☞ Long/Short pants.

Don't bring skirt. No one wear skirt in camp! =,= 

u can either bring long or short pants. Same! U can only wear it when u're in dorm SAHAJA! For the 1st two weeks, u'll scare of mosqutio bites, then u'll choose to wear long pants. But when u dah biasa, i'm sure u'll wear short pants due to the hot weather and it's more comfortable. I bet it!!! =) Because i'm also the one like this xP 

Yea!! 2 or 3 is enough.

☞ Sweater.

Must bring! Sometimes u get fever, u'll need it well.

☞ Blanket.

Bring ur own blanket if u wanna have some smell of ur bed. =x

i bring my own blanket because my camp that blanket got those fashion hole on it. I tak biasa with their blanket, so, i suggest to bring ur own one! But depends on ur camp la~ not every camp same!

☞ Clothes Hanger.

Bring lots of it. They won't supply for u. U need to hang all ur shirts-2 inner loreng, 2 baju loreng, 2 seluar loreng, 2 baju kelas, 2 seluar kelas, 2 baju PT, 2 seluar PT and ur own clothes. Of course, u can just fold ur shirts. But rmb! Ur wardrobe is not that big jek. And u need it after u wash ur clothes.

If can, try to get this type too!

is easier and can save some place too.

But those small one, u just need it to hang ur

 underwear/bra/socks/handkerchief....

☞ Clothes Peg.

Buy 1 pack. U need it very well. Or else ur underwear or bra would 'fly' here or there when u dry it outside ur dorm. And remember to write ur name on it, so that it won't lost and u can collect ur shirts without mixing with others one. Because all also wearing the same shirts. Or else, u'll be very trouble when collecting ur shirts. Just wasting ur time to find ur shirt.

Buy those with SHARP COLOURS.

☞ Pail.

Bring it if u no need to take a flight. Those who take flight, u can just buy it at the kantin(somehow like our school koperasi) in camp. U will need it to wash ur clothes.

☞ Handphone.

The one and only entertainment in camp. I suggest u to bring those kind that can TAKE PHOTO. Because every moment in camp u should snap it down. U'll know how important to own that soon. But don't bring too expensive one like IPHONE la~ =,=

☞ Handphone Charger/Battery Charger.

Find those kind of battery charger. Take ur battery out before u pass up ur phone. Charge ur battery during weekdays so that u don't have to rampas the plug with them whenever u got back ur phone. Is easier! But when u charge during weekdays, don't let those jurulatih jumpa and rampas it. Another way, u can bring an extra battery if u want too!

☞ Cotton swabs 棉花棒

Need it to clear ur eyes. Or else u would be PEKAK for 3 months.

☞ Plaster.

Just bring it!

☞ Paracetamol (Panadol)

Bring those kind that u think is REALLY REALLY effective for u. But when u bring, keep it in ur pants' pocket or anywhere that ur jurulatih can't find it. Or else, they will rampas it for the 1st day. They will pulang balik to u the last day before u back.

I suggest u guys to but a brand called "NUROFEN". It really very effective and useful. Lots of my friends and include me la! Recover after eating few tablets of it. But there got MEDIC also la... Whatever headache, sick or fever, just shout or scream for MEDIC! =)

☞ Toner, Moisturizer, Sleeping Mask & .......

Bring it if u think u need it well.

☞ Ache Pimples Cream.

Scare of growing pimples?? Nvm!! i'll promote for oxy products. It really useful, man! x)

It's cool !!! ;D

☞ Pen & Notebooks.

U need it to write some info. Bring along ur pen whenever u go!

☞ Yoko-Yoko.

Maybe u need it? after any excessive exercise?? muscle pain or cramp??

☞ Febreze.

This is a MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST le!!!! Sometimes ur shirt would be smelly due to the rainy days. Or those clothes that send to dobi got a weird smell. U do need FEBREZE very well... ur "best buddy" in camp! ;D 

Buy 2 bottles is enough for 3 months. I'm sure u'll spray it everyday and especially for the 1st day u reach there =x

☞ Hair clips. *For GIRLS only!*

Bring it if u think u need it. 

☞ Tissue Paper.

Bring one whole pack that contains 24 small packs inside. 

*Tips to act sick: Put a piece of tissue paper on forehead. Teachers would definitely believe it. And will ask u whether u get sick? Need to jumpa Medic? Or give u a chance to rest! I tried it before! HeHe ;x

☞ Toilet Roll.

U'll need it when u go for toilet? If u don't wanna bring it, use those water pipe in toilet to wash ur butt after u hmmm hmmm la~ xD

☞ Small Fan.

Is super-duper-very-seriously-damn-OMGoshhh HOT when all of u berkumpul on dewan for a ceramah or whatever thing. Be smart! Bring a small fan bah! =)

Rmb to bring BATTERY if u bring this kind!

☞ Alarm Clock.

There are no mama to kick u up! No rooster to noise u up too! So, bring an alarm clock... + battery along!

☞ Pads. *Only for GIRLS !!!*

Laurier? Kotex? Sofy? Bring 1 or 2 packs la... Depends on ur usage! 

 

☞ Baju Tradisional.

Bring along is a better choice! Or else u have to borrow from ur friends. But is better to own yourself gok~ ;D  Wear it for Pertandingan Lagu Patriotik, it will helps to tambah markah! Good Luck nia~ ^^

☞ Umbrella.

U'll definitely need it very well. If u don't wanna kena hujan, then bring it! There is a distance between ur dorm area and dewan. So, if so "Lucky" rain, and u have no umbrella. Nice la baju awak ni~ x)

☞ Money.

Don't ask me bring how much. But what can i tell you is, there got no any ATM mesin for u to withdraw ur money. U can only withdraw ur money by the BSN account buka by them. 

Oh Yah!!! Don't forget to bring along SYILINGS. Syilings sre important in camp! Those phone are public phones. U can only call out using public phone in camp during weekdays. So, syilings are very important!!!

And rmb to prepare money for GAMBAR u take there soon! Lots of it, bring at least 100 bucks for photos!

☞ IC, Documents

Your own IC, photostat IC, Birth Certificate, Parents' photostat IC & documents that the letter state to bring. Rmb to memorize one of ur parents IC number!

☞ Plastic bags & Newspaper. (* For GIRLS only !!!*)

To wrap ur pads before u throw it away. Or else, u kena wash it. If not, u know de la.... What u scare of *those kind of thing*!!!! ;P

☞ Washing Powder 洗衣粉

Is better to buy powder instead of using those liquid kind solution to wash ur clothes. I suggest u guys to buy the brand of "ATTACK" cause is ngam ngam hou for 3 months. Is still left a bit before the day i back. And there is a spoon provided in the washing powder pack. Ermmm~ 800g is enough bah! i think~~~ whatever brand, Trojan? Breeze? Top? Softlan? Kuat Harimau? Good Maid? Fab? Dynamo? Daia? Downy?

☞ Brush.

U need it to brush ur clothes. Or use to brush ur shoes that full of mud soon! 

☞ Oreo/ Tiger biscuit

I'm sure u'll fall in love with Oreo or Tiger biscuit. Is nice to eat when their food tak ngam your appetide. Or u will need it when u jadi Pengawal Malam!!! x)

☞ Warm Cup

Bring it if u think u need to bancuh milo or cook maggi. Dun worry! there would be hot and cold water supplying for u guys!

 

for DRINKS that u wanna bancuh.

bring this kind to cook MAGGI.

☞ 3 in 1 milo/coffee

Bancuh it every morning. Their drinks are SUCKS in my camp. So, better bring and bancuh yourself la. NOT NECESSARILY!!! Just bring if u think u want.

☞ Cup Noodles/ MAGGI MEE in packs

not necessarily gotta bring it. There would be selling kat kantin. No worry! 6 meals per day! There is an exception for u if u have no appetide to eat their food. Then u bring la...

☞ Water Bottle

Bring 1 bottle is enough. U can refill water there. No worry hia~

☞ Lotion & Powder 爽身粉

Tak semestinya must bring. Depends on u if u feel like bringing!

☞ Thread & Needles

u gotta learn to sew ur shirt. Cause sometimes their shirts' button is easy to drop. Bring black & white thread.

☞ Rubber band

Bring few to tie up ur biscuit that u haven finish yet or anything when u need it.

☞ Recycle Bag

Maybe u need it for the last day. Lots of "rubbish" u gotta bring back. Luggage is seriously not enough place for u. So, better bring recycle bag too!

☞ Underwear/Panties/Bras

Bring 7 sets or more go! Sometimes rain for few days, it won't be dry! Bring more for extra. Or else, either u naked or just wear those still in wet one! xP

☞ Torchlight

u need it when being Pengawal Malam. Or going into jungle for Wirajaya activities. 

☞ Marker Pen

Bring those permanent type marker pen. Need it to write ur name on those shirts given. Don't let those jurulatih found it when they check ur luggage for the 1st day u reach. For sure they will rampas it. So, be smart dit la~ ;)

☞ Kool Fever Patch

☞ Rexona

Bring it if u don't wanna let ppl see ur 'waterfall' armpit. =x

☞ Chrysanthemum Tea

Bring those that u can bancuh sendiri. Or any herbal tea la~ Is not necessarily too!

☞ Strepsils

I'm sure u'll face a problem of----> SORE THROATS !!!

Either go look for Medic or bring urself some sweets to relief sore throats.

☞ Detox Tea 排毒茶

Bring anything that can help to detox! First few weeks, maybe u belum biasa with their food or toilet yet, i'm sure u'll face another serious problem too!!! suffer from_________CONSTIPATION!!! So, if can, bring anything that can help to prevent constipation. I'm serious! No Joking, man!!!

☞ 平安符

Bring it to keep urself safe. Ask ur parents go to those temple get one for u. Ask those sifu in temple to give u a necklace so that ur 平安符can portable carry it. U can wear it all the time!

☞ Camera

Bring it if u tak takut it will hilang. But every moment in camp should be snap down! All those sweet sweet memories u can't hunt it back next time....

* U can take everything back home! Except for the Baju Loreng & Seluar Loreng...

* Dun throw away the SHOES BOXES they give u. Try to make use of it! ;)

Oh Yah!!! U can send all ur clothes that given by JLKN(All those above) to DOBI. Others than that, wash ur own! But what i suggest is, JUST send ur Baju & Seluar Loreng to Dobi is enough. Others wash urself. Why? Because sometimes u can't get back ur shirt on time, maybe lost? Maybe late? So, u better be more hardworking! Wash ur ownself bah!!!! ;)

TIMETABLE when u're in camp:

4.30 a.m. - 5.00 a.m. : Wake up. Brush ur teeth, Bath or Wash ur clothes. Normally u'll still stay on ur bed.

5.30 a.m. - 5.45 a.m. : Gather at Tapak Kawad. Waiting for Muslim habis sembahyang.

5.45 a.m. - 6.45 a.m. : Buat PT 10(猩猩跳), exercise, kawad practise [ depends on ur jurulatih! ]

7.00 a.m. - 7.50 a.m. : Sarapan Pagi. Back to dorm, take a bath, change to Baju Kelas.

8.00 a.m. - 8.15 a.m. : Rush back to tapak kawad. Pembarisan Disiplin.

8.15 a.m. - 10.00 a.m. : Masuk kelas. Start ur modul~

10.00 a.m. - 10.30 a.m. : Minum Pagi.

10.30 a.m. - 12.00 p.m. : Back to kelas again. Continue with ur modul~

12.00 p.m. - 12.30 p.m. : Makan Tengah Hari.

12.30 p.m. - 1.45 p.m. : Back to dorm. Prepare urself? or do ur own stuff!

1.45 p.m. - 2.00 p.m. : Change ur clothes to full/half loreng. Ready for KAWAD practice.

2.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m. : KAWAD-ing under the hot sun! 

4.00 p.m. - 5.00 p.m. : Minum Petang. Back to dorm change clothes to Baju PT again.

5.00 p.m. - 6.00 p.m. : Roll Call. Aktiviti riadah. 

6.00 p.m. - 6.30 p.m. : Makan Malam.

6.30 p.m. - 8.00 p.m. : Bath. Wash ur clothes. Rest. Or do ur own stuff.

8.00 p.m. - 8.30 p.m. :  Wearing Baju Kelas. Gather in DEWAN. Waiting for Muslim sembahyang.

8.30 p.m. - 10.00 p.m. :  Mentor-Mentee session(every Monday). Ceramah? Movies time? Depends on those jurulatih. See what they plan for u to do.

10.00 p.m. - 10.15 p.m. : Minum Malam.

10.15 p.m. - 10.30 p.m. : Roll Call. Give us Taklimat for the next day. Back to dorm.

11.00 p.m. : Tutup lampu. Tidur mati.

* Sunday: Christian & Buddha will go for church or temple for sembahyang or anything la~ Parents can visit on that day too!

* Wednesday & Saturday: Khidmat komuniti. ( The only chance they would bring u out! ) 

You better manage u time very well. For the first few weeks, u will be very rush and blur. Cause all the time are very very sempit. Rush here Rush there~ Keep changing clothes. Change clothes at least 5 or more per day! Wow~ So,seriously u must manage ur time very well. Or else, time for wash clothes pun tak ada. Thus, must do everything FAST FAST and also FAST!!!!!!!!! ;D
